Move it or lose it.

Moving SUCKS.

As far as I know, no one likes to move. If there's anyone out there who does, come on over and pack my house up for me, will you? Because I'm about 1/20th done, and I want to stop right now.

I'm overwhelmed. I cleaned out the closet in my bedroom and gave away 4 trash bags full of clothes. The closet in the second bedroom yielded another trash bag of stuff to give away, and at least one bag of just stuff to toss. I cleaned out the closet in the bathroom (another bag of stuff to toss), and that's ready to go. I cleaned out the junk drawers in the kitchen and got rid of all the excess junk, expired vitamins and prescriptions (yet another bag of stuff to throw away). When I think about it, there's not that much that needs to actually be packed -- but then I LOOK at it, and I have a ton of stuff that needs to be packed.

I hate moving. I hate packing. Unpacking is better, but not by much.

Next up is the filing cabinet full of bills and statements from the past 5 or so years. I'm shredding a bunch of that stuff and getting it out of the house. Then I'm packing up the bookshelves, getting rid of a ton of books in the process.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can actually pack some stuff, instead of either throwing it away or giving it away. I have to get my act together well before November 10th -- that's moving truck day and my goal is to have the house emptied of everything but furniture.

Wish me luck. Sigh.

I hate moving too. I dread my next move. We clean stuff out every winter, but man ... it never seems to end. Only solution I've found is not to buy stuff.

Perhaps wine and two lazy friends will help with the packing stuff. Then again, we may just drink too much and snuggle with the cats. Too soon to tell....

You can do it!

But, yes, moving does suck.

oh god, i hate to move. i moved 4 times in 4 years - including one time when i was only in a place for 9 stupid months before moving again - so i am SERIOUSLY HOPING to stay put at my current place for a while.

also: the lillies! i thought i had heard that too, about the poison. i watched oliver for the next few days, but he never showed any signs of slowing down from his normal spazz-tastic self, so i guess he just did more facepainting with the pollen than ingesting. hopefully. it was about 3 months ago at this point, so hopefully all is well. thanks for the concern though!!

Just imagine how great it will feel when you have moved!

Good luck.

Oh wow do I hate moving too. I've actually stayed in the same apartment I despise for almost 3 years now simply because I hate moving more than I hate my place. Wow--that's sad!

Congratulations on your anniversary with Chris! I think there must have been something magical about last October because so many people I know met their special someone then. Yay!

The last time I moved I was pregnant and we'd known for a few months that we were going to. So I started packing stuff little by little and by the time we were actually gonna move, all we had were like clothes and furniture. It worked out so freakin' well. Then we had to unpack into the new place. Funtimes!

Good luck and you'll love it once you're all set!
