Mi Casa es Su Casa...

You asked for it -- pictures of most of my house. Now that I've gotten everything painted to my liking, well, here it is...

The Kitchen. I'm not going to lie -- I'm a good cook. When I was looking for places, I had two criteria: big kitchen and big bathtub. This place -- of course -- has both. LOVE the storage space in the cabinets and my cooktop stove. Happy happy kitchen...

The dining room. There is a wine theme in there -- winery doors and pictures of Napa. Also, there's a cat on one of the chairs -- she doesn't really fit the wine theme, but we'll let it slide...

Directly across from the dining room is the Living Room. I spend a lot of time there. My computer is there on the coffee table and my t.v. is also there. Door to the balcony. I have no good commentary for this room. Except for can you see the roses Kendra brought me last week? Who's the best friend ever?

Here is the Fireplace -- I tried to take it so you could see the awesome vaulted ceiling. Oh Gil Grissom -- open your eyes when I'm taking a picture.

Accent Wall. Map of Napa. Hallway to the other bedroom. Fascinating, I know.

Myyyyyy bedroooooommmm. Comfy bed, vaulted ceilings. Slate blue silk curtains. Relaxing green color. It looks slightly more "minty" than it does in real life -- it's a gray-blue-green-ish color. However the fuzzy black cat is exactly the color he looks.

Here it is from another vantage point. Seriously, does it not make you want to lay down and take a nap? I love my room so much...

Anyway, there you have it. My house. Thanks for stopping by.

Nice pad. As I was walking through my unfinished house the other day and I was looking at my new bathroom and was thinking about what an awesome job I did picking out that tile, the thought occurred to me to take pictures and put them on my blog. Then I decided not to. Maybe after it's all finished I will.

I kept waiting to read, "And this is where the majic happens" when I saw your bedroom. Ya know like they do on MTV Cribs.

Nice place. Love the fireplace and ceilings.

oooh!! preeetttyyyy!! and so... sophisticated. like, mature, but fab. i was just lying in bed last night lamenting how my room doesn't look like an adult lives in it. matt suggested that the rubber duckies on my tv might be contributing to that fact. he may have a point.

that bed - 1 cat = much better. No offense, I'm just highly allergic.

Ooooh - I love what you've done with the bedroom. Very nice.

I'm actually surprised that cat has time to sleep, however, what with all the love-needing.

Sigh... Someday I will own my own home and have a fireplace and be able to paint it whatever color I want. For now I'll live vicariously through you. I love the burgundy accent color, and yes, you're bed looks totally comfy - but not in the dirty way everyone else is alluding to.

oops, I wrote "you're" when I meant "your." I had to correct myself. I can't have you thinking I'm all stupid.

Nice job Amber. Thanks for inviting me in to have a look. Guess what, we have exactly (well, it looks pretty close) the same colour on the walls in our dining room. I'll have to take some pictures if I ever complete the painting and if we ever get our basement finished. It will be a miracle!

I am dissapointed. I was hoping to see some of my decorating tips and stuff on your bedroom wall. But it actually looks really nice. Sweeeeet house.
I would like to point out that the "burliest" guy on your comments refered to a "girly" show. I assume that means he's married and has had to relinquish the remote. But I could be wrong entirely.

Your house is super cute! I'm so jealous. Oh, how I long for the day I can afford to buy a house (or, in the CA real estate market, a condo is more likely) and decorate it to feel like a home. The boring white walls of my apartment are starting to close in on me!
